Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn was born in the United States and is an actress who has been working professionally for over 27 years. From the age 27 she has been a professionally active thespian. The first time she appeared on the stage as a character in a production in 1990 of The Big Funk (John Patrick Shanley) Off-Broadway. As a character in The Perfect Tribute, she had her debut TV role the following year. In 1992 her career was established when she was offered as a character in the movie Basic Instinct. The Firm is where she made her debut as the female star opposite Tom Cruise & Gene Hackman. In the past, she played Dr. Alex Blake in the internationally well-known crime procedural Criminal Minds.
