The band was on the Boston club circuit, and were advised by Frank Connelly their first manager. They began working with Steve Leber, David Krebs, New York managers. The band's debut album, which was named "Eponymous" released in the year 1973. They were signed to a record deal in the year 1972. The album was then followed by Get Your Wings, Toys in the Attic, Rocks, and Draw the Line, which helped propel Aerosmith to fame internationally and recognition. The albums featured famous hits like "Dream On", "Walk This Way" and "Sweet Emotion". Aerosmith's first five albums have been multi-platinum in all of them, as well as Toys in the Attic and Rocks are considered to be among the best hard rock albums ever made. Aerosmith began to feel the effects of the hectic lifestyle of recording, touring as well as living together, and also using drugs as the decade went on. Due to their famous use of stimulants and heroin, Tyler and Perry were often referred to as the Toxic Twins. Their relationship is well documented in many of Aerosmith's video releases and in the Aerosmith Behind the Music. Tyler seemed more committed to Aerosmith and resent Perry for his indifferent attitude. Perry, on the other hand, was envious of Tyler's prioritization of females in his life. The dynamic of tension between Tyler, Perry, and their former girlfriends was a leading factor in the gradual decay of Aerosmith around 1980.
